Main Ingredients
- Old duck (ask the butcher to chop it into pieces)
- Herbal Option 1: Ginkgo nuts, Polygonatum odoratum (fragrant Solomon's seal), Codonopsis pilosula (poor man's ginseng), Scutellaria baicalensis (Chinese skullcap), Goji berries, Red dates, Sliced ginger
- Herbal Option 2: Glehnia root (Northern sand ginseng), Polygonatum odoratum, Sliced ginger
Preparation Steps
- Place the old duck in a pot of cold water, bring to a boil, and skim off the scum;
- Rinse thoroughly with clean water;
Cooking Steps
- Add all ingredients and water to a pressure cooker (or stew pot). If using a pressure cooker, cook for 15 minutes before turning off the heat.
