Main Ingredients

  • King oyster mushrooms
  • Beef cubes or pork cubes (commonly known as "mother's meat" in some regions)
  • Bell peppers (half red and half yellow)
  • Green beans (optional)

Seasonings

  • Minced garlic
  • Soy sauce, cooking wine

Preparation Steps

  1. Cut the king oyster mushrooms into rolling wedges.
  2. Marinate the beef cubes in advance with soy sauce and cooking wine.
  3. Dice the bell peppers into small cubes.

Cooking Steps

  1. Heat oil in a pan, add minced garlic and beef cubes, stir-fry for a while (high heat until flames appear), about 1 minute (add green beans if using).
  2. Add the king oyster mushrooms and stir-fry with the beef until evenly mixed. Then, add a small amount of soy sauce and cooking wine. Stir-fry briefly before adding a little water and covering the pan.
  3. Simmer for about 5 minutes until the juices are released.
  4. Add the diced bell peppers and mix well with the beef and mushrooms in the pan.
  5. Simmer for another 5 minutes, then season to taste. The dish is ready to serve.
